Support in the creating ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ as a key topic for the European Consultation Committee (ECC) meeting

AstraZeneca is a global biopharmaceutical company engaged in the research, development and commercialisation of ethical medicines.

THE IDEA WITH IMPACT

AstraZeneca is amongst the first and most attentive companies with regard to diversity, equity & inclusion.  The company wanted to accelerate its path on the issues of; speaking openly; inclusive leadership; talent pooling of diversity from an inclusive perspective and to promote genuine and equal diversity – it also need to align recent acquisitions with the AstraZeneca corporate culture.

Poliedros Management Consulting created a bespoke solution, in line with the company mission and which reflected the unique company situation. The solution created a platform that was able to stimulate discussion, exchange opinions and engage the participants fully in the ECC meeting thanks to an innovative, open and multifaceted environment. This brief support and activity in the organization and management of the ECC meeting produced immediate results and is considered highly positive AstraZeneca. In addition to having stimulated fruitful discussions with open exchange of opinions, it allowed an accurate perception and understanding of the different cultural, geographical and social approaches that would be needed.
The tailor-made analysis and stimulus model also highlighted the unconscious prejudices linked to the DE&I issues on which the company is now able to address as part of its activities.
